This is a real valuable project where a volunteer will work hard, but can make a real difference in the life of the people involved.

This home was created with the mission of offering help and protection to seniors who don't have a place to live or have been abandoned by their families. It is lead by a religious community called “Sisters for the Abandoned Seniors”. In this home 15 religious sisters and 20 employees work. At the moment there are 260 seniors. They are divided in different groups according to their physical capacities. There is a group who can walk and eat by themselves, there is a group of people with mental problems and the third group needs help with walking, eating and self cleaning. The men and woman live separately in this home.

Description of the activities for volunteers:
- If necessary, help them with eating during breakfast/lunch
- You’re not responsible for bathing and cleaning!
- Offer a daily activity program
- Examples of the activities in the activity program:
bowling and other ballgames, playing Bingo, drawing and painting, making music, walking outside etc.
- Be responsible for the development of the activity program
- Helping with Gymnastics, physiotherapy and other exercises

Working hours:         Monday till Friday from 8 am to 12 am (or 2 pm to 5 pm)
