Discovering Ecuador Program

The discovery Ecuador Program is a great way to travel and learn Spanish in an organized manner. The program includes the highlands, the jungle, the tropical forest and the coast and can be combined with any volunteer package.

The program is as follows and can start on any Saturday during the year:

• SATURDAY: Pick Up at airport and accommodation at hostel with breakfast.
• SUNDAY: Day off to get to know the area and explore the city. Accommodation at hostel.
• MONDAY - FRIDAY: Start of the Spanish classes. This week the student has 4 hours of group lessons a day. After the first classes the mother of the host family will pick the student up at the school and will walk him to his home stay address. In the afternoon he/she can come back to school for a welcome cocktail and salsa lessons. During this period of home stay, 3 meals a day are included.
• SATURDAY: all-day tour to Cotopaxi is included. Accommodation at hostel.
• SUNDAY - FRIDAY: With public transport (not included) to Puerto Quito. This week the student will stay in the tropical forest at Puerto Quito where he/she will receive 20 hours of group lessons, and make an excursion every day to explore the area. All meals are included, starting with the Sunday night dinner.
• SATURDAY: Free day to travel back to Quito. The accommodation is at a hostel
• SUNDAY: Public transport to Lago Agrio (not included). Overnight stay at Hotel D´Mario.
• MONDAY - FRIDAY: 5 day/4 night jungle tour to Jamu Lodge in the Cuyabeno wild life reserve. A unique experience in the Ecuadorian jungle, all accommodation (dorm), transport, tours, guide and meals included. Friday back to Quito and accommodation arranged in a Hostal.
• SATURDAY: Free day. The accommodation tonight is a hostel.
• SUNDAY - FRIDAY: Public transport (not included) to Montañita. Start of the Spanish and Surf package in Montañita. Accommodation this week will be in a dormitory cabaña.
• SATURDAY: End of tour. If student wishes he can start a volunteer package to for example the Galapagos Islands flying from Guayaquil. Or travel on to other parts of  Ecuador. Or go back to Quito.

Included:

• Pick up from the airport.

Excluded:

• Local Transportation
• Accommodation before the program starts.
• Entrance fee to Cotopaxi National Park ($2.00) and Cuyabeno National Park ($2.00)
• Administration costs $35.00

• Extra nights before the programme in a hostel.
• Dorm bed $10.00 without breakfast.
• Private room $15.00 without breakfast.
